Best Line We Heard all Week

Allison and her brothers were excited about going to Algonquin Park and hoping to see a moose so they could get a Beauview Moose Award.

Her brothers saw the moose at the Visitors Centre (stuffed) but Allison had the best story - she said "she saw a moose that was disguised as a rabbit".

She got a Beauview Moose Award just for the originality!

Twins - Two weeks in a Row

Snake in the Grass

Two Year old Twins

Joshua and Abigail are two year twins that love our sand piles. It was amazing that their mom could get them to keep still at our Welcome BBQ. Josh really likes anything motorized - so Nancy's golf cart was very attractive. Cool sunglasses Dudes!

Gord has a twin brother so he's especially in tune with twins of all ages.

The Sand Piles are a HIT !

Josh and Abby, twin two year olds, arrived yesterday. As soon as they saw the waterfront, they made a beeline for the playground. They spend a lot of time in the sandbox at daycare. Now there's two huge ones to play in all week at Beauview!

The Play toys are out, Beach is ready

Fresh sand was delivered by Barry Vanclieaf and our neighbour Grant brought over his front end loader to move the sand to the playground and the beach. Nice sand for the children to play in this summer. We keep the sand a short distance away from the lake so we don't affect the lake habitat for fish and other creatures.

The sand toys and beach toys are out too.

Before Grant moved into the area, we shovelled by hand and carted all the sand by trailer or wheel barrow, to the lake. This is much easier and we are able to move a lot more sand.

Fortified OAK Trees

We have some beautiful Oak trees that shade our cottages and provide lots of acorns for the squirrels, chipmunks and deer. Our Arborist Derek, Sunrise Tree Service, in Baysville is wiring the three tree trunks together to reinforce them so that they don't split at the base during a wind storm (which we seem to be getting more of, these days)

We don't want to lose these beautiful trees!

Loons on Lake of Bays

Here's two loons that came to visit the Beauview waterfront this morning. Usually they duck under water and swim away but not this morning. I was very lucky.

Lake of Bays YOGA

A few steps down the road from Beauview you can go to a YOGA Studio overlooking Lake of Bays.
This Summer, Cecily offers YOGO in her studio. She also offers private group and couples classes. There's YOGA Fundamentals, Fast Flow, Restorative Flow and Rhythmic Flow.
