No Boating Restrictions on Lake of Bays
At Beauview, you wouldn't really know that there's a G8 World Leaders Summit nearby unless you drove into Huntsville 15 minutes to the north of us.
Children were playing in the water yesterday. The smallest girl was the first down our new floating Iceberg waterslide. Some adults tried and failed!
Paddleboats and canoes can be used. They won't be stopped like the peaceful protestors were on Peninsula Lake near Deerhurst yesterday.

Beauview Family Helpers
People say to us "Beauview must be a lot of work" It is - but we get a lot of help too.
Nancy's parent's Bill and Grace have been coming to help out ever since we bought Beauview in 1993.
Bill is a great painter - especially for detailed trim work. Grace helps Nancy go through the kitchens to make sure there is everything you need.
Gord's brother Rick has a cottage in Huntsville. He gets grabbed for work when he's up from the city.

Bring your Bike or use one of ours
Isn't this a nice picture! ?
The roads around Beauview are great for cycling. The Muskoka Spin the Lakes Tour happened last weekend and this year there's still the Triathlon and Ironman that run right past our property.
Bring your own bike or you can borrow one of our one speed retro bikes for a leisurely tour.

The Smallest Fish
This is the smallest fish caught by the Hawkins Gang today! The biggest fish was an 8 pound Lake Trout caught by the youngest member of the group, Jackie B.
Everyone at Beauview was treated to a fresh fish fry by Chefs Al and Mike. The fish just melted in your mouth!
Thanks for staying with us again this year.

The Elusive Butterfly
This Spring, I have seen a fox, a baby deer, turtles at the side of the road laying their eggs, groundhog and even a nocturnal raccoon in the afternoon. Never had a camera with me.
It has been the same with the swallowtail butterfly. I go to get my camera and they magically disappear... until today. I finally followed a swallowtail butterfly long enough to get a photo!
