This is a special time on the lake that doesn't happen very often. We get a melt and a refreeze with little or no snow. That means now you can skate across the lake. (It's a little bumpy in places from the snowmobiles) What a neat "bragging rights" experience!
Up until now, you couldn't walk on the lake because there was snow with slush underneath and then the ice. It would get your boots stuck! ... Not anymore!I shovelled off a brand new ice rink next to our present one. It's nice and smooth, no cracks or bumps and pretty level.
Bring your skates!
