Many Monarchs

Here's one of the Many Monarch Butterflies that can be seen on a hot sunny day. This photo was taken today in the wildflower patch next to our main children's playground.

Not many Monarchs this year

Nature goes in cycles. This year I don't see very many Monarch Butterflies. The ones I do see are constantly in motion. I was very lucky to get this photo of a Monarch on a flower.

I Chased a Monarch Butterfly

I chased a monarch butterfly until I finally got tired and stopped. She kept circling me and when she thought I wasn't looking, she landed. I was only able to get so close before she took off again!

Monarch Butterfly before going South

Here's a monarch butterfly that hasn't gone south yet. I found her on our driveway. She flew around and then came back to the stones. I'm not sure what she was looking for?
